FALL 2020 ADMISSIONS AND COVID-19

July is here now. Embassies are closed as many countries are still on lock down due to the corona virus pandemic.
Fall semester starts August/September. By now, potential students travelling overseas should have had their Visas ready or about going for interviews. But this is not the case. Even if the embassies open by mid July, I don't see how they can cope with the over three months backlog of visa applicants. Schools are running normally in many countries, online though. This means that, come August, schools will resume without hitches. This puts the international students admitted to these schools at a precarious situation. What is the solution?
We will advise these students to get in touch with their admission officers in their admitted schools and seek consent. The most likely option will be to apply for deferment of the Fall admission to Spring semester.
